Our role

A customer’s data belongs to that customer. When we handle information for a customer, we act as its service provider, only for the work it gives us. We never sell or rent information. A customer’s information can improve only that customer’s own system; it is never used to train AI models for anyone else.

Google services a customer connects

• Send email (gmail.send) — sends, from the customer’s own mailbox, only messages that follow a sequence or template a person at the customer approved.
• Read message headers (gmail.metadata) — confirms the customer’s sending address and tells when a recipient replied, a message bounced or someone unsubscribed, so follow-ups stop. The content of messages is never read.
• Read calendar (calendar.readonly) — counts meetings with outside guests for the customer’s dashboard.

Limited Use

SAIL’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use this information only to provide the features above, inside the customer’s own system. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to develop, improve or train general AI models. Nobody at SAIL reads it, except with the customer’s permission to fix a problem, for security, or when the law requires it.

Where the data lives

Each customer’s system keeps its data in its own database, on servers SAIL runs in Canada. Google access tokens are stored encrypted. A customer can disconnect Google at any time, in its system or in its Google Account; its tokens are then deleted.

Service providers

To run these systems we use a few providers: hosting and network (Vercel), payments (Stripe) and, when a customer’s system uses one, an AI model provider that answers requests made in it.

Keeping and deleting

We keep a customer’s information while its agreement runs. When it ends, the customer can get a copy of its data; we then delete it, backups included, as its agreement provides.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete your information, or for any question, write to info@sail-studio.com. We answer within 30 days. If the information belongs to one of our customers, we pass your request to that business, which decides, and we help it answer.
